Norma Wray Colston, age 90, passed away July 24, 2026 in Cedar Park, Texas where she resided since 2012. She was born in Ada, Oklahoma to Stanley Allen Williams and Gertie Nuner.
Norma graduated from Oklahoma City Classen High School and for more than 35 years she proudly worked in various divisions at Tinker Air Force Base, including the Base Commander’s Office and the Third Herd Combat Communication’s Group.
Norma’s primary focus and passion was spending time with her immediate family but she also had a variety of interests and activities, including the Classen High School Alumni Association, Daughters of the American Revolution, genealogy and previously First Baptist Church Midwest City, Oklahoma.
Norma is survived by three children, Bret Colston (Lisa) of Ada, Oklahoma; Julie Colston Atchley of Cedar Park, Texas; and Jeff Colston (Kris) of Spring, Texas; Grandchildren Loren, Katelyn, Tyler, Jordan, and RJ; great grandchildren, Emily, Ava, Daisy and Jackson.
Norma was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 53 years, Donald Lee Colston; parents, Stanley and Gertie Williams; brother, Lee Allen Williams.

Norma and I were best friends—more like sisters—for nearly 30 years. We shared our love for the Lord and encouraged one another through every season of life. She dearly loved her family and was so proud of each of you and your accomplishments.
Over the years, we enjoyed many of the same interests, working at TAFB, members of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and our shared curiosity led us on genealogy road trips to country cemeteries we probably shouldn’t have been exploring. But more than anything, we cherished a friendship built on love, faith, and always being there for one another—especially through the illnesses and the passing of our husbands.
I will deeply miss our weekly phone calls and the special bond we shared. I am truly blessed to have had such a dear friend in my life.
