They made this entire process as easy as it could possibly be. Sara helped me every step of the way, walking me through everything I needed and staying in constant communication. My initial contact was with AI- then after several calls I got a live person and was told I would get a link- everything was completed without humans. When I arrived to the location to pick up remains, someone jumped out from behind a car and asked if I was there for pick up. Picking up my husbands remains in a parking lot was neither expected or dignified- definitely would not recommend unless you are the grinch or unable to afford more

Cremation.Green is a digitally-focused funeral home, which allows families to make arrangements remotely and avoid many of the pressures, costs, and in-person requirements of a traditional funeral home. This approach is clearly explained during the arrangement process and on our website, but we understand that in moments of grief, expectations and emotions can understandably collide with logistics.

Our team members are always present to assist families with care and respect. That said, we hear your feedback regarding how the pickup felt to you, and we take that seriously. Our intention is never to diminish the dignity of a loved one or the experience of their family, and we are reviewing this interaction internally.

During our distraught visit from hospice we were asked to make a decision about crematorium. Green was supposedly local in Round Rock. Pickup should have been like 15-20 min away which was perfect. We were told by hospice that the process would take about 3 weeks. As we did the paperwork with Green it said 3-4 weeks which was fine. The supplemental menu for the deceased was overwhelming and definitely made it feel like a business than a necessary service. Everything included at the minimum was double the cost of what hospice said it could be. It was roughly $1800...fine. The fourth week passes and my wife wanted me to check in with Green but I hesitated with trust in the system. By 5th week I called and after a hold or two they said the cremation was completed on the 3rd week. I had no prior communication of this. They said it was their fault. So I made an appt to pick up the ashes, but it wasnt Round Rock. The pickup was in Elgin...45 minutes away! I roll up to a gated entry, follow a truck in and figured out to called a number for someone to let me in. They said someone would be out. My 3yo daughter and I waited in the cold for 5 minutes before I called the number back to make sure we were in the right address because there is no sign for Green. I believe the address is actually for Waterloo Mortuary. They replied saying they're with another family. They were 15 minutes late to let us in to our 10am appt. The attendant didnt introduce himself than give excuses of why he was late. Anyway, it was gorgeous inside. I pee'd, signed a sheet, asked a technical question that the attend couldnt answer, took the box, and left. I totally felt like I'd been feeding a business than being serviced in this remorseful transaction.

We did drop the ball on communication regarding when the cremation was completed, and we take responsibility for that. Your family deserved clearer updates, and we are already adjusting our internal process to prevent this from happening again.

I do want to clarify a few things for future families who may read your review:

• Pickup Location Options – We do have a pickup location in Round Rock at 400 W Main St, in addition to our Austin and Elgin locations. Every family receives a scheduling link offering all pickup options, including our private crematory in Elgin. I’m sorry this wasn’t clear during your arrangements.

• Gated Crematory Entrance – The crematory is an extremely secured, gated facility, and it appears you entered behind another family before our staff was notified. That contributed to the delay, and it’s something we’re working to improve so no one is left waiting outside again.

• Pricing Information – Some hospice organizations distribute outdated price sheets created by a nonprofit that hasn’t updated their lists in over two years. We do our best to provide the most accurate, transparent pricing directly to families, and we’ll continue working with hospice partners to keep their information current.

• Travel With Cremated Remains – Our attendant answered your question as best he could, but he was correct that international travel regulations vary by carrier and country. That’s why he advised verifying details with our funeral director.

We never want a family to feel like they are “feeding a business.” Our mission is to provide compassionate, cremation services with dignity, transparency, and respect. I’m glad the facility felt peaceful to you, but I’m sorry the overall experience didn’t meet the standard we strive for.

I was very appreciative of the care and attentiveness of the staff at Green Cremation (Cremation.Green) in handling cremation for both my father and mother this year. In the latter case, I needed to expedite Death Certificates for estate actions that were ongoing from my father's passing, and they were attentive and communicative in the process, which was important for keeping my stress level low. I purchased an insurance plans ahead of time based on advice that one cannot pre-pay a funeral home. The latter may be true, but you should be able to avoid installment/incremental payments, and just pay the amount it's going to cost, up front and have less complexity when the time comes to deal with the actual arrangements. After going through insurance back and forth issues with my father, I adjusted and paid out remainder for my mother. This made things very simple when she passed, and Green Cremation staff were very helpful in making the actions smooth and thoughtful.

We are beyond words in expressing our gratitude to the entire Cremation.Green team. When our beautiful13-year-old daughter passed from Ewing Sarcoma at MDA in Houston, we were initially transferred to another facility for cremation — a rushed process that left us uneasy because the facility was so cold and nothing like what we expected for our sweet girl.

Late that evening, while searching for a place that would truly honor her, we found Cremation.Green. We called close to 9 p.m., and Laci answered with such compassion and understanding. She immediately helped us make arrangements, and by the next morning, they sent a vehicle and our daughter was lovingly brought to their farm.

The experience was beyond what we could have hoped for. We were able to watch the entire cremation and send her off ourselves — something that brought immense peace and closure. The facility was modern, serene, and absolutely beautiful, with a viewing room designed in the warmest, most comforting way imaginable.

When we walked out with her ashes, the wind was softly blowing, and the trees and windmill seemed to wave us on. In that moment, we felt a deep sense of calm and gratitude.

We are forever thankful to Cremation.Green for creating such a sacred, dignified, and loving space for our little birdie’s farewell.

Green Cremations reach out with an apology and a price reduction. Much appreciated…am glad they can acknowledge issues and work with their customers. Trust is everything!
All the paperwork was done, but I needed a different credit card to pay. I applied and received one. I called several times to let them know the new card had arrived to no response or to be told they were busy. When I finally received a call, I was told the final cost was now $200 more. I took my business elsewhere. Would give no stars if possible. Buyer beware.

After a horrible experience with another facility that gave me and the judge the runaround, I was relieved to discover Cremation Green. I wish, if I can, no one ever needs to do business with funeral home.
But it's not possible, because death, is part of the circle of life.
My dear husband unexpected passed away, I was in a state of shock, anger, sorrow, and every emotion you can imagine, I have to make funeral service arrangement.
We were thinking, I would be the first one to go due to my health challenges and he would take care of everything after I am gone, not the other way around.
Funeral home, is an interesting business to do business, in my search, Cremation.Green, shows me the human kindness is possible, thoughtfulness, friendly support & understanding what I am going through. Allow me to grieve while making this painful arrangement. I was given the space & support I didn't know I could receive by working with them.
Joseph is so wonderful, so kind, I can not thank him enough for everything he has done for me and my family. On the day of the service, he quietly supported us, even when I messed up the date of receiving my husband's ash, he told me, "I got you, I will meet you tomorrow." , I did not expect that but I am eternally grateful for the act of kindness.
Every business, needs make its living, to support & compensate its employees accordingly. Cremation.Green is very reasonable, no big sticker shock like some other big name funeral home ( almost sent me to heart attack ) , and I appreciate very much for the support, the kindness they offer me throughout the process.

Cremation Green went above and beyond to help our family during a painful grieving process. We had terrible issues trying to get a death certificate from the state and the staff at Cremation Green were more than a funeral home, but an advocate for our family. They were relentless - in a good way - in pursuit of the doctor, who DID NOT sign the death certificate. The death certificate is critical to all "next steps" when someone passes away, so this oversight was quite detrimental to our family. Cremation Green not contacted the doctor numerous times, but also stayed on the phone with my dad at the doctor's office while he tried to secure the signature, and then walked office staff through the proper procedures to get it signed. Without Cremation Green, I am certain we would not have the death certificate for 6-9 months after a normal 30 day period. I highly recommend this funeral home as they truly care about your family and loved ones. If I could leave a 10 star review I would!

My brother passed suddenly and Cremation Green was referred to me by the hospital chaplain. They were there every step. Laci Moore would send me reminders, as there was a lot of paperwork involved. I appreciate her help tremendously. She is a valuable asset to their funeral home in Austin, TX.

Cremation Green took exceptional care of us during a very difficult and confusing time. As many, we weren't prepared for the loss of our loved one, and had to make quick decisions. I was referred to Cremation Green by a friend who had recently gone through the same. We worked with Laci and Eric. They answered all of our questions and helped us navigate uncharted territory. They even collaborated with another funeral home so we could have a larger service. We cannot say enough about Cremation Green. My daughter and I, had a ton of questions and probably even more requests. They made it work for us, and offered other options when we ran into a snag. We did opt to have a viewing and embalming for our loved one. After the service we opted for cremation. Don't let the name scare you, they have many options available, including natural burial and will take great care of you and your loved one. Thank you Eric and Laci for going above and beyond to help us through the entire process. We really can't thank you enough. We know we weren't the only family you were dealing with, but you made us feel like we were!

We had great experience with Cremation Green in Austin Funeral home. In situation when you lost love one is very important to have people around who helping you and can answer questions you may have. The process was straight-forward, which I especially appreciated at a time when the rest of life was in turmoil. The online page to select services had clear descriptions and pricing, but the best part was the personal service when needed most...upon picking up my uncle's remains. Cremation.Green was very easy to work with and helpful in an otherwise terrible time for my family. Eric & Laci were kind, knowledgeable, and responsive, helping my mom & I navigate the process after losing our loved one.

My only suggestion to improve the experience is to rid of the "AI bot" that answers the phone when no one else can. It's confusing & frustrating and would probably be better to just have the phone keep ringing or a voicemail system.

Highly recommended. I’m so glad I found this place and I was guided through the process. My partner wanted to be cremated so I am glad I was able to find this place with help from the social worker. They offer green cremations which is a plus. It took them about 45m to pick up the body in the morning and I got a call in the afternoon to start the process. Everything is done on-line which simplifies the process and all the prices are up front and updated. Their rates were pretty good for cremation and if I went with funeral home I would be paying more than double. I opted to upgrade to a wooden box to store my partner’s remains and paid a little extra to expedite things as well as purchase additional death certificates. They also offer a digital obituary with unlimited words. I got my partner’s remains as expected within 3-4 weeks. Picking up required scheduling a pick up time (they do have an option to ship the remains as well). This was mostly stress free. They also offer water cremation as well and other funeral services.

Green Cremation of Round Rock/Austin, Texas is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and caring. I would highly recommend their services. The staff is extremely helpful and attentive and answered all of my questions.
I initially reached out to them back in April 2024 when my mother’s health was failing. I spoke to Maddie who was an absolute pleasure to talk too. I purchased an annuity for my mom’s funeral expenses in advance of her death.
When my mom passed a couple of weeks ago, hospice notified Green Cremation and the gentleman who arrived reminded me of a fine young coachman. He was very professional and came to pickup my mother’s body @ 12:30 in the morning. I didn’t realize they would come out to mom’s Assisted Living facility at that hour.
The next day I called to confirm my mother’s body was at their facility. The person I spoke with was very sympathetic and offered her condolences and assured me all would be handled. All the paperwork for the Death Certificate was emailed to me and returned via Docusign. The process was very easy and straightforward.
Today, I received a call from Jamie to inform me that my mother’s remains were ready to be shipped to my home. Jamie answered my many questions with so much patience, compassion and respect. I am beyond grateful to the amazing staff at Green Cremations. I highly recommend their services.

I wish I could give Marlaena and Green Cremation a million stars. She made a terrible life situation more easily navigable. From start to finish, the process was explained. The ability to conduct the bulk of the process online but always have her available to answer questions via text or on the phone was so comforting. The person who picked up our loved one was so gentle and loving with both the family members and our loved one. Unfortunately in my life I've had to use a number of funeral and cremation services. This by far was the best, easiest, and affordable as well. Green Cremation exceeded our family's expectations and honored our loved one. Thank you again for everything.

Recently our family experienced a death and we contacted Green Cremation Texas, the Pflugerville branch. Eric was our point of contact. He was the consummate professional. Everything, including full costs, were disclosed on the front end. All arrangements were easy to make and they did exactly what they said they would do when they said they would do it. There was not a single burp anywhere in the process.

Our family had a lot to deal with and it was great that the cremation, death certificate, obtaining the ashes, etc were all so easy to do via Greens. Eric did a superb job and I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs their services. Their pricing is quite reasonable and their service and caring attitude can't be beat.

I keep trying to write this review and I’m at a loss for words. Death takes the life out of everything around it, not just your loved one, and feeling “brain dead” while trying to plan how to take care of mom for the last time, it just feels like too much! Melissa has been the most present, patient, and intuitive funeral director I’ve ever met in a way that was organic and full of warmth. She let me be as involved in the process as I wanted to be even taking as much time needed to explain all my questions about the logistics and paperwork. It never felt like I was separated by some door and secrecy. I recommend Green Cremation Texas because they weren’t just a funeral home, they became my tribe. For the first time in my experience with death, I didn’t just get a funeral home that helped facilitate closer, I was given an experience that planted the seeds of healing. Thank you.

My daughter died VERY unexpectedly at 24 years old. So there i was trying to figure out what the heck just happened and the medical examiner wants to know if I've picked a funeral home yet. All i knew was that my daughter loved the environment so i started with Google and it led me to Melissa. I cannot stress enough how WONDERFUL this woman is. When i called her all my thoughts were a mess inside my head. I cried and rambled on about my daughter and about what i thought she would like and Melissa LISTENED to me. She then helped me with what i wanted to do for my daughter. She wasn't fazed at all when i wanted to change something, she just made it happen. Melissa always answered any questions i had either by texting me back or emailing me. I'm so glad i found Melissa and her services.
