She explained that the hospital would provide all the necessary information and then Cremation Green would handle everything. She also said that I would receive a text the following day with a link to their website, and the forms that needed to be filled out, but that I could complete them when I felt up to it. She was amazing! There was no pressure to do anything immediately and certainly no pressure to purchase any goods or services. The Cremation Green website lists the services and products they offer and all the prices are clearly stated. You can put together the package you want, the cost is always exactly what is stated, and their pricing is very reasonable. Also, if your loved one is a Veteran, Cremation Green ensures that you get a beautiful, military-folded American flag. Everything is done online. I worried about that, as I’m a bit technologically challenged, but Marlaena was a simple phone call away, whenever I had a question. She ALWAYS answered the phone herself, and she patiently and kindly explained things. I was never put on hold, nor did I have to be subjected to options when I called. I can’t thank Cremation Green and Marlaena enough, for their courtesy, kindness and professionalism. Our flame cremation service offers an environmentally friendly alternative for those seeking to reduce their impact in death but are not fully comfortable with water cremation or natural organic reduction. This service utilizes the traditional, flame-based cremation process and incorporates eco-friendly measures throughout the process.

Before the cremation takes place, we ensure that the body is free of any materials that could potentially harm the environment, such as batteries or medical devices. During the cremation process, we use clean fuels that produce less pollution, and we monitor the temperature and emissions closely to ensure minimal impact on the environment.

After the cremation, we carefully collect and separate the remains to minimize any potential harm to the environment. We offer a variety of urns and other containers made from eco-friendly materials to house the remains, ensuring that the final resting place is also environmentally conscious.

Our flame cremation service is a thoughtful option for those seeking a more sustainable way to handle their remains after death. By making conscious efforts before, during, and after the cremation process, we strive to make a positive impact on the environment while providing a dignified and respectful service.

What’s Included With Direct Cremation

Our clean flame cremation process includes:

  • Personal assistance from the Director who’s available 24/7.
  • Transfer of deceased from facility of death or Medical Examiner’s office to refrigerated holding (1st 35 miles from our dispatch areas included).
  • Sheltering of the remains in a temperature-controlled environment up to 5 days (additional $50/day, unless delay is involuntary).
  • Removal of plastics and medical devices.
  • Alternative Cremation Container (accommodates up to 249 lbs)
  • Crematory Fee
  • Biodegradable temporary cremains container ($20 value).
  • Appointment for retrieval of cremated remains in our office.
Does Not Include: oversize charges, death certificates ($30 for first 3, additional $4/ea), county permit fee ($25), possible house call ($200), transport to water cremation partner ($600).

The cremation process begins with our team transporting the body to our energy efficient crematorium in as short a distance as possible to reduce the use of fossil fuels. We also use a hybrid vehicle to cut down on emissions.

We minimize air pollutants by removing plastics.

In an effort to minimize impact as much as possible, we remove all medical and end-of-life plastics prior to cremation. This keeps the chemicals from releasing into the atmosphere. We also use clean cotton sheets and place the body in a cardboard container for cremation.
