In Loving Memory of Audrey Ann Denman
November 22, 1951 – June 15, 2026
Audrey Ann Denman, 74, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2026, in Round Rock, Texas, held close by the family she loved so dearly. To know Audrey was to know a woman who made every person in her presence feel seen and valued. Her passing leaves a profound gap in the lives of all who were lucky enough to call her theirs.
Born on November 22, 1951, in Anchorage, Alaska, Audrey carried with her a spirit that was resilient, warm, and quietly extraordinary. For more than 39 years, she faced the daily challenges of multiple sclerosis with a grace that humbled everyone who knew her.
Audrey graduated from Texas Tech University in 1973 and earned a MS degree in 1975. She met her husband Rick in 1972 and they were married in Lubbock in 1976. She proceeded to build a career as a dietitian devoted to the wellbeing of others. In the late 1980s she began teaching at the University of Texas and continued consulting with various healthcare facilities throughout the Austin area, combining her knowledge and kindness in ways that left a lasting mark on patients, students, and colleagues. That same generous spirit led her to volunteer for years with the Round Rock Serving Center, where she gave her time and heart to those in need, long after she had any obligation to do so. She was also active at St Philips UMC in Round Rock, where she served on the Administrative Board and was chair of Trustees. One of her favorite projects was designing a commercial grade kitchen for the new Family Life Building.
But for all her professional accomplishments, what Audrey treasured most could be found right at home. She was a devoted wife, a fiercely loving mother, a loyal sister, a cherished friend and above all, she was Nana. The joy she found in her grandson Ryan was something her whole family could see radiating from her face. In her quieter moments, Audrey found peace in reading, in yoga, in her church community, and in the simple gift of gathered family, perhaps including a spirited round (or several) of Boggle.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Lorraine Henderson; her sister, Barbara Magers; and her brother-in-law, Ray Navarro.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Rick Denman; her children, Kim Diven, Eric Denman and wife Michelle Paulson; her grandson, Ryan Diven; her sisters, Arlene Fisher, Berta Parks, Diana Vocke, Darla Henderson, Corinna Fulton, Deborah Navarro, and Daryl Denman; and a wide and loving circle of extended family and dear friends who will carry her memory forward with gratitude and with joy.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Philip’s United Methodist Church in Round Rock, Texas.
Audrey did not simply live a good life — she made the lives around her better. Her faith, her service, and her unshakeable love will continue as her legacy for generations to come. She will be missed more than words can hold, and remembered always with a full and grateful heart.
