1957 – 2023
Sherry Lee Bement, 65, of Cedar Park, Texas, passed away on September 26, 2023. She was born on November 20, 1957, in Sulpher, Oklahoma. Sherry was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and Gammy.
Sherry is survived by her mother, Shirley Davis; her brother, Everett Carter, and his wife Lisa; her sister, Sandra Cobb, and her husband Sam; her daughter, Kristal Hellerud, and her husband Brett; her son, Kevin Perry; her step-daughter, Brittany Kaker, and her husband William; and her cherished grandchildren: Jenna, Ethan, Tori, Hunter, Kaylee, Allie, Weston, and Millie. She also leaves behind her nieces, Carrie, Cassie, Stephanie, and Shanna, along with their spouses and children.
Sherry was preceded in death by her father, Dale Carter; and her younger brother, Jerry Carter.
Sherry had a passion for art and creativity. She loved to draw, paint, and create, and she enjoyed sharing this passion with her grandchildren. Her talent and creativity will be remembered by all who knew her. She loved her dogs, always naming them after her favorite vacation cities (yes, we had a Vegas, Bossier and a Padre over the years!). And when her pups passed on, she loved on her grandkids’ dogs.
A small family service will be held at a later date in Republic, Missouri, to celebrate Sherry’s life and honor her memory. The family appreciates all the love and support during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local animal shelter in Sherry’s honor.
