It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ruben “Bo” David Delacruz, also known as Ramon Fallingstar, who passed away on March 20, 2026, at the age of 61.
Ruben was born on May 14, 1964, and although he lived in many places throughout his life, Texas was always his home—a place that reflected his spirit, strength, and roots.
Ruben was a proud and devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He leaves behind his beloved son, Seneca E. King (Mindy Arthur), and his cherished grandchildren: Halee Cassidy, Seneca Dustin King, Julianna King, Seth King, and Paisley King, who will carry forward his legacy with love.
He is also survived by his loving siblings: Yolanda Charles (Javier Charles), Debra Dallas (Furman Dallas), Steve Delacruz (Dawn Delacruz), and Ricardo Delacruz, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who became family to him throughout his life.
Ruben is reunited in eternal peace with those who preceded him: his mother, Sally Delacruz; his father, Ruben Delacruz; his sisters, Lea Mendez, Sandra Delacruz, and Susan Tunnicliff; his brother, Raul Delacruz; and his sister-in-law, Debra Delacruz.
Ruben served his country with honor as a member of the National Guard. He was a man of many talents and passions—a gifted woodworker who crafted custom cabinets, a designer of unique custom guitars, and a self-taught jewelry maker known for his beautifully handcrafted, Native-inspired necklaces that he lovingly gifted to family and friends.
He found deep joy in attending pow wows, embracing culture, community, and connection. Ruben lived life in his own creative and meaningful way, leaving pieces of himself in everything he built, created, and shared.
He was also a dedicated member of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA), a worldwide educational nonprofit devoted to researching and recreating pre-17th-century European history, including combat, arts, and sciences. This was a lifelong passion of his and a true reflection of his love for history, craftsmanship, and immersive experience.
Above all, Ruben will be remembered for his heart, his creativity, his strength, and the way he made people feel. His presence was unforgettable, and his memory will live on in the stories, laughter, and love shared by all who knew him.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
