Munish Chander Chawla, 88, of Austin, TX , passed away on July 23rd 2023 at 2:27 PM CST.
He passed away in his Son’s home in Austin due to natural causes.
Munish was born in India to Naraindas Chawla and Vishandevi Chawla. He was the eldest in a family of 5 brothers and 4 sisters. As the eldest son he was responsible for the protection and upbringing of his family right from the tender age of 14. In addition to working he made sure that he got his education and graduated as Masters of Commerce from Panjab university. After a brief stint in the Railways, he moved to Mumbai to work in a factory as a supervisor before jumping into his own business as a Tax Consultant.
In his early 30s he received a marriage proposal from Vimal’s family to start a family life.Even though he was not keen on marriage, he complied due to familial compulsions but never looked back after that. He was always there for his family, was a respectful and compassionate husband and a caring father to his children, Girish and Samish and was also a spiritually advanced devotee of God at the same time. He inculcated many spiritual values in his wife and children and gave them a very happy and fulfilling life.
He moved to the US with his wife in 2004 and they spent the last years of their lives with their children and grandchildren, showering them with love and blessings.
Munish is survived by his 2 Son’s, 2 Daughter-in-laws and 3 grand-children. He was preceded in passing by his wife Vimal in Feb of 2022.
The funeral service and viewing will be held at Green Cremation Texas Care Center- 809 Tradesmens Park Loop (Suite D), Hutto, Tx, 78634 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
His family will be present to welcome loved ones either virtually or in person.
