Michael R. “Mike” Zimmern, 76, died on Dec. 22, 2025 in Round Rock, TX following a lengthy hospitalization. Mike was born in Dallas, TX to Frances and Al Zimmern. He graduated from Trinity University in 1971 with a Bachelor of Science degree in physics, and earned his Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University in 1984. He received his TX Law License in November of 1984. Mike practiced law in Round Rock, TX for over 20 years before retiring. Mike was active with the Round Rock Soccer Association from 1984-2000, coaching youth soccer teams including those of his two sons, Kreg and Jeff.
Mike is survived by Jan (Grimes) Zimmern, his wife of 45 years, a daughter Lisa Hellmann, a son Kreg Zimmern and his daughter-in-law Angela Zimmern, niece Adrienne Bain, nephew Drew Kimberly and many loving family and friends. He is predeceased by his son Jeffrey Zimmern, his brother Fred Zimmern and by his parents Frances and Al Zimmern.
Mike was a truly good man with a clever wit and a generous heart. He treated others with genuine respect, dealt honestly and fairly with all and viewed the world through a lens of curiosity, warmth and humor. He loved deeply. Mike was a dedicated and loving son, husband, father and friend
