Evra (Annie) Wiederstein

As Eternal as sunshine on Mountains (from their wedding announcement)

We are saddened by the unexpected passing of Evra Ann (Annie) Wiederstein, 70, of Spring Texas on June 3, 2023, while she was recovering from complications from undifferentiated pleomorphic spindle cell sarcoma surgery.

She was born to Ross and Reva Lindholm, graduated from Ballston Spa High School, Ballston Spa. New York and attended Idaho State University.

She was married to Michael J. Wiederstein in 1974. Evra is survived by her Husband, daughter, Julie Ann Horsfall of Spring Texas, son, Benjamin Wiederstein of Spring Texas, Grandsons, Kostas and Hugo Wiederstein, a sister, LaRue Jones of Alexander City, Alabama, brother-in laws, Robert Wiederstein of Kechi, Kansas, and Tom Wiederstein of Sierra Vista, Az, and many nieces and nephews and good friends.

Annie, a forever Christian was first and foremost a Prayer Warrior.  She was on every Prayer Team at each church she attended, and would pray for everyone and anyone she would meet.  It is certain that she is leading prayer and praise for our Lord and Savior today.

She was a talented crafter in many fields, quilting, sewing, knitting, writing poems and short stories, needlework, painting, cake baking, and loved costumes and dressing to fit the occasion. She stopped many tears with the fixing of arms, eyes, legs, and tails of the stuffed animals in the family.

She loved her country and served in the Army Reserve.  She also loved music, nature, hiking, camping, attending church camp, and women’s retreats.

Her Celebration of Life and Memorial service will be held on August 5th, at 11am at the Trinity Klein Lutheran Church, 5201 Spring Cypress Rd, Spring, Texas 77379

Please make donations in support of MD Anderson Cancer Center in lieu of sending flowers.

God saw you getting tired

When a cure was not to be.

So he closed his arms around you

And whispered “Come to me”.

You didn’t deserve what you went

Through, and so he gave you rest.

God’s garden must be beautiful,

  He only takes the best.

And when I saw you sleeping,

So peaceful and free from pain,

I could not wish you back

To suffer that again.
