Overall helpful and good people. Marlaena is very patient and professional, we were comfortable leaving our grandmother in their care. I have recommended them to others and I would do so.My one issue has been with the Death Certificates. We paid for multiple copies, and through lots of run around, we are having to take care of that on our own, with the State, /again/. I need the business to offer pick up for Death Certificates. I would have paid a fee to do so. I understand that might be a challenge for liability reasons, but it's got to be better than us having to run around months after our Grandmother's death to still get certificates we already paid for, because we didn't receive the first set, and because we didn't request them originally, have to start this process all over again.

We unfortunately had to employ their services in Oct 2021 when our son passed unexpectedly. We made arrangements to have him cremated. They told us the price, and when they thought they would cremate him. So we planned a celebration of life ceremony and burial for several days after that, just to leave time for shipping his remains back to Pennsylvania. We did not realize that we had to pay an additional fee to have his cremation expedited, to get him there on time. The additional fees move your loved one into the schedule. Without it, they will remain in storage until such a time that all the expedited folks are completed. It was not explained to us well at the time. I would have paid the $400 fee up front if I had realized that it would be an issue. Unfortunately, it wasn’t explained like that. I’m sure it wasn’t intentional. And because of our emotional state, we didn’t fully comprehend the way it was explained to us. Overall, they did a nice job. But this business practice of charging to jump the line does not seem fair to others who cannot afford to pay it. They should just charge everyone a little more upfront, and take people in the order they arrive. That is a much better business model.

During a very difficult time, Green Cremation Texas made things a little easier. We first used them for our mother when she died in December 2020 and then again for our father when he died in May 2022. In both cases they were responsive, professional and caring. They also have a wonderful selection of urns that allowed us to pick ones we felt would suit our parents -- a raku pottery urn for our mother, a wood crafted one for our father.

After reading numerous positive reviews about Green Cremation Texas, I chose to reach out to them and make all the necessary arrangements for my mother who recently passed from Alzheimer's. It turned out to be the perfect choice.I had phone conversations with Marlaena many times and she answered my numerous questions with such kindness, patience and compassion. The way she spoke to me always had a very calming effect and being as stressed and sad as I was, that was exactly what I needed. It is hard to lose a loved one. This year I lost 2. My dad in April and immediately there after, my mom, on Mothers Day. My dad had pre-arranged all his plans. My mom, living in a nursing home, had not and I, being the only child remaining, ( my brother died years ago) was tasked with handling all the finals involved. She had already indicated to me she wanted to be cremated so I knew that much and nothing more. Mainly because I hadn’t seen it coming so I was unprepared. I couldn’t afford the conventional funeral home where she was transported so I had to get my search on while also being in a dazed and shocked state of mind. I hope this little explanation sets up the scene of understanding what I was going through. I hadn’t even gotten to the mourning point for losing dad and now mom? Whoa. Anyway I started calling around and thought I had discovered the people and company I would use but it turned out they were more concerned about getting as much money as they could before hand with their fakery sad voice which turned to anger when I said they wouldn’t be getting her insurance policy up front. Not to mention it was a debilitating small amount. It was just a burial plan. Their attitude scares me to say the least. So back to drawing board I had to go all the while stressing out that mom was laying in a lonely cold freezer draw somewhere. (That is a weird type of stress.) I googled the same sentence I had used before and scrolled the listings of “Cremation Co’s.” I can’t say how long I was staring at the page when I realized I wasn’t even reading just blank staring when a word caught my eye. The word was GREEN. I honed in that for some odd reason. GREEN CREMATIONS TEXAS. The next thing which caught my eye was, Call or TXT now. I clicked and was absolutely fascinated. The whole premise of this company is relaxing, inviting, easy and somehow comforting. A “green” cremation is just that. Environmentally friendly. It is also emotionally friendly. I can’t explain it but I just knew it had to be GreenCremationsTexas. Spiritually speaking it just makes sense. So I texted. And met Eric and Marlaena. I cannot tell you the depth of their true goodness. In the world we live in today we do things differently. We txt instead of call. We do our research first, read reviews and such but I can’t tell you how amazing it was to do business with GCT. No hassles. No hidden agenda. No slimy attempts to extract as much $$$ as possible. And most importantly no fakery. During a time of grieving you need simple, straightforward steps. And you will find it with GCT. Each and every step was modern and SO user friendly! When our son died in Austin his body was taken to the city morgue. We flew in 2 days later and got a hotel room so we could close out his apartment. We searched the web and found Green Cremation. Thank you to Green Cremations for making the entire process easy. I liked the fact that everything was done online and I didn’t have to go in and make arrangements in person because it’s something so difficult to do during a time of loss. However, this doesn’t mean that the process is impersonal, that there is no one to help. When my son died in Austin, TX, we were very distraught. We live in PA and did not have any idea who to contact to care for him. My daughter found Green Cremation on the internet. Recently our family experienced a death and we contacted Green Cremation Texas, the Pflugerville branch. Eric was our point of contact. He was the consummate professional. Everything, including full costs, were disclosed on the front end. All arrangements were easy to make and they did exactly what they said they would do when they said they would do it. There was not a single burp anywhere in the process.Our family had a lot to deal with and it was great that the cremation, death certificate, obtaining the ashes, etc were all so easy to do via Greens. Overall helpful and good people. Marlaena is very patient and professional, we were comfortable leaving our grandmother in their care. I have recommended them to others and I would do so.My one issue has been with the Death Certificates. We paid for multiple copies, and through lots of run around, we are having to take care of that on our own, with the State, /again/. I need the business to offer pick up for Death Certificates. I would have paid a fee to do so. I understand that might be a challenge for liability reasons, but it's got to be better than us having to run around months after our Grandmother's death to still get certificates we already paid for, because we didn't receive the first set, and because we didn't request them originally, have to start this process all over again.

We unfortunately had to employ their services in Oct 2021 when our son passed unexpectedly. We made arrangements to have him cremated. They told us the price, and when they thought they would cremate him. So we planned a celebration of life ceremony and burial for several days after that, just to leave time for shipping his remains back to Pennsylvania. We did not realize that we had to pay an additional fee to have his cremation expedited, to get him there on time. The additional fees move your loved one into the schedule. Without it, they will remain in storage until such a time that all the expedited folks are completed. It was not explained to us well at the time. I would have paid the $400 fee up front if I had realized that it would be an issue. Unfortunately, it wasn’t explained like that. I’m sure it wasn’t intentional. And because of our emotional state, we didn’t fully comprehend the way it was explained to us. Overall, they did a nice job. But this business practice of charging to jump the line does not seem fair to others who cannot afford to pay it. They should just charge everyone a little more upfront, and take people in the order they arrive. That is a much better business model.

During a very difficult time, Green Cremation Texas made things a little easier. We first used them for our mother when she died in December 2020 and then again for our father when he died in May 2022. In both cases they were responsive, professional and caring. They also have a wonderful selection of urns that allowed us to pick ones we felt would suit our parents -- a raku pottery urn for our mother, a wood crafted one for our father.

It is hard to lose a loved one. This year I lost 2. My dad in April and immediately there after, my mom, on Mothers Day. My dad had pre-arranged all his plans. My mom, living in a nursing home, had not and I, being the only child remaining, ( my brother died years ago) was tasked with handling all the finals involved. She had already indicated to me she wanted to be cremated so I knew that much and nothing more. Mainly because I hadn’t seen it coming so I was unprepared. I couldn’t afford the conventional funeral home where she was transported so I had to get my search on while also being in a dazed and shocked state of mind. I hope this little explanation sets up the scene of understanding what I was going through. I hadn’t even gotten to the mourning point for losing dad and now mom? Whoa. Anyway I started calling around and thought I had discovered the people and company I would use but it turned out they were more concerned about getting as much money as they could before hand with their fakery sad voice which turned to anger when I said they wouldn’t be getting her insurance policy up front. Not to mention it was a debilitating small amount. It was just a burial plan. Their attitude scares me to say the least. So back to drawing board I had to go all the while stressing out that mom was laying in a lonely cold freezer draw somewhere. (That is a weird type of stress.) I googled the same sentence I had used before and scrolled the listings of “Cremation Co’s.” I can’t say how long I was staring at the page when I realized I wasn’t even reading just blank staring when a word caught my eye. The word was GREEN. I honed in that for some odd reason. GREEN CREMATIONS TEXAS. The next thing which caught my eye was, Call or TXT now. I clicked and was absolutely fascinated. The whole premise of this company is relaxing, inviting, easy and somehow comforting. A “green” cremation is just that. Environmentally friendly. It is also emotionally friendly. I can’t explain it but I just knew it had to be GreenCremationsTexas. Spiritually speaking it just makes sense. So I texted. And met Eric and Marlaena. I cannot tell you the depth of their true goodness. In the world we live in today we do things differently. We txt instead of call. We do our research first, read reviews and such but I can’t tell you how amazing it was to do business with GCT. No hassles. No hidden agenda. No slimy attempts to extract as much $$$ as possible. And most importantly no fakery. During a time of grieving you need simple, straightforward steps. And you will find it with GCT. Each and every step was modern and SO user friendly! Thank you to Green Cremations for making the entire process easy. I liked the fact that everything was done online and I didn’t have to go in and make arrangements in person because it’s something so difficult to do during a time of loss. However, this doesn’t mean that the process is impersonal, that there is no one to help. You can send a text directly from the website, which I did and Marlaena replied right away and took care of everything. This was the absolute best experience at the absolute worst time in my life. I lost my mom last week and reached out to Texas Green Cremations. I can’t possibly express what an amazing experience this was. So compassionate, professional and reasonably priced. Melissa took such good care of all the details. I can fully recommend them and will be prearranging for my husband and myself. Our local funeral home was going to cost over $3000.00 and we took care of everything for under $1000.00. My daughter died VERY unexpectedly at 24 years old. So there i was trying to figure out what the heck just happened and the medical examiner wants to know if I've picked a funeral home yet. All i knew was that my daughter loved the environment so i started with Google and it led me to Melissa. I cannot stress enough how WONDERFUL this woman is.
