Richard Anthony Ciz, age 56, of Round Rock, Texas, passed away on December 5, 2025, in Round Rock, surrounded by family and love.
Richard was born July 24, 1969, in Berwyn, Illinois, where he was raised before making his home in Austin, Texas. For over two decades, he worked in sales at Dell. He was known not only for his professionalism and leadership, but for the genuine care he showed to colleagues and clients alike.
Richard was a man that embodied an unmistakable magnetic presence. His smile and laugh were infectious, instantly putting others at ease. He was someone who never met a stranger and could make anyone feel like an old friend. He listened intently, asked thoughtful questions, and remembered the details that mattered, making people feel seen, heard, and valued.
Over the last three years of his life, Richard fought with extraordinary courage and determination against illness. His unwavering strength, bravery, and positivity during this time were a testament to his love and devotion to his family and close friends.
Richard is survived by his husband of nearly 14 years, Patrick Binns; his beloved daughter, Allison Ciz; his mother, Rosemary Ciz; and his brother, Robert Ciz. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Ciz.
He will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, confidence, and the way he made people feel like they mattered—because to him, they truly did. He lived life boldly and unapologetically. He made a lasting impact on countless people who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
