Matthew Allen Larson, 48, of Austin, TX passed away on January 6, 2026. He was born on July 2, 1977 to Gail Allen Eubank and Dennis Paul Larson in Spokane, Washington.
Matt was highly intelligent, quick-witted, and hard working. He had a wry sense of humor and was a master punster. He loved learning about and engaging in discussions on a wide variety of topics, but his primary interests were science and technology. He enjoyed a long career with the Computer Science Department at The University of Texas. Most recently, he applied his networking skills to support school districts via the Region 13 Education Service Center. He had a kind heart, a generous spirit, and a strong desire to be of service to others. Matt had various accomplishments worthy of celebration, yet by far, he was proudest of his role as a father and husband.
Matt is survived by his wife Andrea, and sons Chase Allen and Hayden Alexander. He is also survived by his mother Gail “Ailana”, father Dennis, and numerous extended family members and friends. He was loved and will be missed.
A celebration of life will be held on a date yet to be determined.
