With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of James Edward Durham, who left us on September 29th, 2025, at 64 years of age after suffering a severe stroke.
He was born in Abilene, Texas in June 1961. He was the youngest child of John Paul Durham and Emma Belle (Ramon) Durham.
James was raised in San Antonio, Texas, but he lived most of his life in Round Rock, Texas.
He loved his children and raised Tommy, Eric and Abigail to become great people.
He is survived by his son Eric Nathaniel Durham and daughter Abagail Elise Durham, and his brother Charles William Durham.
James was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Ross Durham, his father, John P Durham, his mother Emma B Durham, his brother, John Paul Durham Jr., and his sister Patsy Ruth (Durham) Lankford.
James graduated from Luther Burbank High school in San Antonio, Texas in 1980. He apprenticed as a machinist while in high school and developed a passion for this occupation.
He worked at Kelly Air Force Base as a machinist but left for private industry due to the lack of creativity in the work at the base.
He worked for various machinist shops, developing injection molds for production.
He loved spending time with his children, playing the guitar, designing tools, camping, and bird hunting.
His memorial service will be held at “The Door Church of Pflugerville”, 14612 Immanuel Rd, Pflugerville, Texas 78660, at 6:00 PM on October 20, 2025.
