On July 14th, after a long 3-year battle with cancer, Isaiah laid down his armor and ended his fight. Our sweet boy left this world in peace with his mom and dad by his side.
Isaiah was such a kind soul. Even when he went through the worst battles, the kid could never be angry or mean. His sweet soul, beautiful smile, contagious laughter, and warm embrace will truly be missed forever.
We are thankful for everyone who has been a part of this journey for the last 3 years, from his oncologist to his oncology team, nurses, staff, and everyone at Dell Children’s Hospital, especially those who helped Isaiah along the way. Isaiah was a ray of sunshine who met so many people on his 3-year journey. We are so thankful for the village Isaiah helped us grow. His heart was so big that he truly loved everyone, especially his little brother Juan.
We want to give a special thank you to Team Impact and UTSA baseball head Coach Hallmark for saying yes to Isaiah in 2022. He was given the best opportunity ever to be a part of UTSA baseball. He truly loved the honor of being part of the Roadrunners family.
Isaiah leaves behind his mom, Alicia Martinez, dad, Michael Martinez, and his little brother, Juan A. Martinez, as well as so many other loved ones. He was greeted at heaven’s door by many, many loved ones who left before him.
