H. Russell Boyer

A megawatt smile! An infectious laugh that would lighten the mood, anywhere, anytime. A joy to know! Had a loyal and good heart, didn’t know a stranger and always acknowledged and supported those who were struggling. Gave unwaveringly, often at his own expense. All of that and more is how friends remember H. Russell Boyer.
Born October 14,1963 in Bryan Texas, Russell went to Klein High School, was a graduate of The University of Texas and a long time resident of Austin.
During the aerobics craze of the 80s, Russell, became an inspiring instructor for Body Business in Austin and competed in “The Crystal Lite Aerobics completion.
During Austin’s 90’s boom, Russell was a valued employee at Mezzaluna, Emilia’s, Vespaio, Jeffrey’s and other popular high end restaurants. With Russell as your waiter, you were guaranteed a seat at the best dinner party in town!
Despite Russ’s success as a fine dining server, there were a few occasions when he took a break from the hospitality industry and enthusiastically ventured into selling Infiniti cars, residential real estate and office products.
Russell loved good food (especially soup with beans), laughing at himself, liberal politics and his human and doggie friends.
Sadly, Russell passed away just days before his 59th birthday. The color of life is a little dimmer now that Russell is gone, but his brilliant personality will live on in the hearts that knew and loved him.
