Gregory “Greg” Rollin Rohlman, 64, passed away on April 20, 2026. Born in Toledo, Ohio, Greg spent most of his life in Texas, where he was the kind of person every community depends on – showing up, rolling up his sleeves, and never once asking for credit.
Greg was an enormously generous man. He would give anything to make sure the people he loved didn’t go without, whether through time, resources, or endeavor. In a final act of generosity, Greg committed his body to the life-saving efforts of organ and tissue donation.
He was fiercely loyal, deeply private, and constitutionally opposed to being the center of attention. He wanted a quiet life, and he lived purposefully and on his own terms.
A devoted fan of the Allen Eagles football program, Greg was a familiar face in the stands long after his children, Lance and Kelli, had graduated. He also volunteered with the Pit Bulls for the Allen Eagle Escadrille for many years. When he wasn’t supporting the Eagles, he was proudly cheering for the Alabama Crimson Tide, because one team was never enough for a man who gave 150% to everything he touched.
Greg served for many years as a Scout Leader for Boy Scout Troop #306 and Venture Crew #5252. He took genuine pride in mentoring multiple young men to the rank of Eagle Scout, yet he still somehow found the time and energy to achieve a black belt in Tang Soo Do.
With a quick wit and a sharp sense of sarcasm, Greg was incapable of letting a serious moment go by without finding the humor in it. He had a gift for a perfectly timed pun or a well-placed dad joke, and a knack for lifting the mood when it was needed most. He loved westerns – John Wayne above all – and he adored his dog, Freya, who was very lucky to have him.
Greg would have hated drawing any attention to himself, so we’ll keep it simple: he was one of the good ones, and the people who knew him knew it.

Remembrances
In keeping with Greg’s lifelong preference to let everyone else have the spotlight, no services are planned at this time. The family asks that there be no gifts or flowers. Instead, take a quiet moment to remember Greg fondly and privately, just as he would have wanted.
