On September 3rd, 2025, Jesus unexpectedly called for Ginger to come “Home”.

Ginger Leigh Maxwell was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on March 11, 1979 to proud parents Laura Ann (Lolly) Wyatt Maxwell and Richard (Dick) Maxwell. Her family moved to Odessa, Texas when she was 9 months old. Ginger enjoyed a happy, active childhood with neighborhood, school and church friends. She enthusiastically participated in gymnastics, ballet, tap, jazz, choir, tennis, soccer and her church youth group. She attended Trinity School in Midland, Texas and Reagan Elementary, Bowie Jr. High and Odessa High School in Odessa, Texas. Moving (reluctantly) to Pasadena, Texas for her junior and senior years, she quickly made friends and graduated from Pasadena High School in 1997- lettering in tennis and debate. Ginger attended San Jacinto Community College on a tennis scholarship. After trying various career opportunities, she found her calling as an event planner and consultant. She loved helping others plan and celebrate the special occasions of their lives.

A ray of sunshine, Ginger added “spice” to any gathering. She never met a stranger. Very sympathetic, she always looked out for the underdog and the forgotten and she had a hug and kind words for anyone having a hard time. She dearly loved animals of all kinds.

Ginger was preceded in death by her father and her brother, Richard (Rick) Maxwell, Jr.; her grandparents, Dr. W.D. Wyatt and wife Faye and S.J. Maxwell, Jr. and wife Helen; and her longtime love, Brandon Bahar. She is survived by her mother; her brothers, Steven Maxwell with wife Nancy and David Maxwell with wife Melissa; her sister Cynthia Maxwell; her beloved canine companion, Mulder; and numerous extended family and friends.

Ginger is dearly loved and is greatly missed!
