Gary William Lawson was born to William Joseph Lawson and Florence Vitevitch Lawson on March 11, 1969, in San Antonio, TX. He passed away on November 26, 2025 in Taylor, TX.
Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Florence Lawson and his niece, Christine Coffman. Gary will be greatly missed by his siblings, Mark Lawson, Ann Coffman, Rita England (Stephen), Jane Whitlock (Roy) and his twin brother Steve Lawson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; Shanha Goodwyn (daughter, Robin), Katherine Coffman (children, Allan & Amelia Solis), Samuel Whitlock (daughter, Palmer) and Clarissa Whitlock. There are many cousins throughout the US, including Carl P. Vitevitch of New York, that Gary recently connected with.
Growing up in San Antonio, Gary was active in Boys Scouts of America at St. Thomas More Catholic Church reaching Eagle Scout rank, carrying what he learned throughout life. Gary played the flute in Krueger Middle School band and the tuba & sousaphone in Theodore Roosevelt High School band. As an adult, Gary donated 100s of pints of blood through South Texas Blood Bank, enjoyed car shows and was a foodie, trying new recipes and cuisines. Gary was a member of the Beethoven Maennerchor social club in San Antonio and a member of the NRA. He completed on-the-job training to become a Certified Electrician, with his most recent
place of employment at Samsung Austin Semiconductor in Taylor, TX.
