Elvenia Brown DeLaCruz

Elvenia Brown DeLaCruz was born in San Antonio, Texas on June 14, 1939. Elvenia passed
peacefully on June 4th, 2024 after a brief battle with cancer. She lived her life on her own terms. She
loved God and read her Bible daily. She lived the life of a military wife traveling in Texas, Kansas,
Hawaii, California, and Germany. Elvenia was a daughter, a big sister, a wife, the mother of three,
an accomplished seamstress, a homemaker, a teacher, a wedding caterer, a party planner, a transit
authority manager, a greeting card maker, and a jack of all trades. She loved making people happy.
She lived her life to the fullest and was ready to be with her Lord. She was grateful for her wonderful
life and especially her family.

Elvenia is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Luter and Ruth Gertrude Brown, and her
daughter Elvenia Rose. Her only son, Louis Albert DeLaCruz II, passed away 19 days after her on
June 23rd, 2024. Elvenia is survived by her daughter Alisa Ann Mount (David), and her daughter in
law, Jude DeLaCruz. Grandchildren Louis Albert III (Christine, Amelia, Timothy), Sandra Booker
(Steven), Alisa Rose DeLaCruz (Terry), Kenneth Mount (fiancée Emma), and Kathleen Mount.
Sisters Ione Blanks (San Antonio) and Lynn Brown (Cincinnati), and numerous other family
members and friends.

Elvenia’s burial service will be on Friday, July 19, 2024, at 11am – Coker Cemetery, 231 E. North
Loop Rd, San Antonio, 78216
