Mary “Elaine” DeMichielli, 76, of Leander, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on September 12, 2025, just two months shy of her 77th birthday.
Elaine was born in Graham, Texas, to Frank and Mary Margaret Wright. In 1988, she moved to Leander, where she built her life and community for the past 37 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Margaret Wright; her sister, Joann Freeman; her niece, Mary Forbis; and her brother-in-law, Paul Cherryhomes.
Elaine is survived by her daughter, Renay Law; son, Randy Brown; granddaughters, Tara Waycott and husband Ty, and Kayla Shenkin and husband Tristan; and her cherished great-grandson, Tripp Waycott. She also leaves behind her sister, Dorothy Cherryhomes, along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
Elaine’s greatest joy was serving the Lord and others. She was a devoted member of Glad Tidings Church in Leander, where she faithfully poured her heart into ministry. She served with Extravagant Love International Ministries, Operation Christmas Child, and many other outreach efforts that reflected her generous spirit and love for people.
Elaine will be remembered for her faith, kindness, and unwavering commitment to sharing God’s love with everyone she met. She touched countless lives and leaves behind a legacy of compassion and service.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Glad Tidings Church in Leander, Texas.
