Danny Blount, age 69, of Round Rock, Texas passed away on January 24, 2026 following a brief illness. He was born December 17, 1956 in Rotan, Texas to Lilly Yvonne (Bonnie) Cooper Todd and Richard Doyle (R.D.) Blount, both deceased. He was a 1974 graduate of Abilene High School in Abilene, Texas. On May 24, 1975, he married Zan (Lipham) Blount with whom he recently celebrated 50 years of marriage. Throughout their years of marriage, they lived in San Antonio, TX, Abilene, TX, Tulsa, OK. Columbus, OH, Austin, TX and Round Rock, TX and raised two wonderful daughters.
He is survived by his wife, Zan of Round Rock, beloved daughters Shawna and Alyssa, both of Austin, Texas, brother Darrell Blount, sisters Lisa McHan, Teresa Alexander and Pamela Mounts. He is preceded in death by his oldest brother, Richard D. (Dicky) Blount Jr. He is also survived by many loved cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and numerous friends.
Danny lived his life to the fullest as a devoted husband, father and friend. Throughout his lifetime, he held many jobs, always helped others and was deeply loved and admired by everyone. During his retirement, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, February 15th between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM at the Hyatt Place Austin/Cedar Park at 1315 E New Hope Dr in Cedar Park, in the Meeting Room. Family, friends and others whose lives were touched by Danny are invited to come together to reminisce, celebrate his life and to support one another.
