Cory Lee Gaspard, age 38, passed away at his residence on Thursday, April 15,2021 in Manor, Texas. He was born in Beaumont, Texas and grew up in Fannett, Texas. In 2015 he moved to Austin, in which he loved and now called home.
Anyone that knew Cory, knew that he was such a kind-hearted, sweet soul with a huge heart and a great big laugh that I can still hear today. He was an adventurous daredevil who loved doing back flips off of cliffs (how crazy is that) going on hikes, kayaking, fishing and just enjoying nature. He loved and cherished his family and friends more than we will ever know.
Cory is preceded in death by his dad, Lee “Pete” Gaspard, paternal grandparents, Minos and Velma Gaspard, maternal grandparents, Willie and Frieda Thibodeaux and one aunt, Jada Gaspard.
Cory is survived by his mother, Cathy Thibodeaux Breaux and stepdad, Paul Breaux of Nederland, his daughter Shelby Nicole Hargraves of Labelle, his sister Kimberly Clark and her husband Jeffrey of Turkey Creek, Louisiana, stepsister DeeDee Breaux and her husband Kirk of Austin, stepsister Rene Breaux and her wife Laura of Houston, his loving wife, Cory Elizabeth Kirksey of Manor, 2 stepdaughters, Kaelis and Preslyn Chaney of Austin, two nieces, Emma and Abby Clark of Turkey Creek, Louisiana and one nephew, Dalton Clark of Turkey Creek, Louisiana, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Cory will be cremated. Cory Elizabeth will hold a remembrance gathering for Cory in Austin in the near future for any family and friends that may want to attend.
