Charles “Skip” Rose, 76, passed away on February 26, 2026.

He was born on June 28, 1949, in Tokyo, Japan. He later attended Eastern Washington University, graduating in 1972. Following graduation, he joined the United States Army Medical Services Corps as a helicopter pilot and later a military contracting officer. He served proudly for 20 years, enjoying the camaraderie of his fellow servicemen. He retired from the Army in San Antonio, Texas, concluding two decades of military service.

After his retirement from the military, he began a second career, earning certification in lead and asbestos abatement and co-founded Southwest Texas Environmental.

In later years, he moved to Georgetown, Texas, to be closer to his son and daughter in law, Kyle and Amy and grandchildren, Duncan and Desmond.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; sons, Kyle and Brian; his daughter-in-law, Amy and his grandchildren, Duncan, Desmond, Alex, and Isabel; brother-in-law, Barry Gibson.

He will be remembered for his playful sense of humor, steady presence, and genuine kindness. His legacy of service, sense of humor, and love for family will live on in all who knew him.
