Barbara Hill Carter, 71
Born 05-24-1954
Passed peacefully into the night on 10-18-25 in her home in Lakeway, TX, after a long fight with stomach cancer.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Jesse Hill and Florence Elizabeth Hill
Barbra is survived by her son, Leroy Keith Hill, Lakeway, TX, and three brothers: Murray and wife Karen Hill, Plattsburg, MO, Wayne Hill, Cocoa, FL, and Tim and wife Rene Hill, Cocoa, FL.
Barbara grew up in Cocoa, Florida, and then traveled around the US until settling down in Lakeway over 25 years ago. Barbara graduated from ITT, then worked for AMD until she retired, and then spent the last 6 years as a Lakeway school bus driver. She said her students always made her day brighter. She is a member of Lake Hills Church, Austin, TX
Barbara’s Happy Place has always been the beach or Island time, Barbara was granted her last wish by some of her close friends two weekends before her passing, to go to the beach one last time and stick her feet in the sand and waves.
Barbara requested that there be no services or memorial afterwards. Barbara has asked her brother Murray to scatter her ashes into the Western Caribbean.
