Alice Coronella-Walsh, 97, of Buda, Texas, formerly of Boston, MA, died peacefully in her sleep with family on September 18, 2024, at Buda Oaks Assisted Living in Buda, TX. Born June 9, 1927, in Boston, MA, she is predeceased by her late husbands John Coronella and Henry (Hank) Walsh and her daughter, Joanne Coronella.
Alice lived a full and active life. She was a devout Catholic and strived to serve others. She was very involved in her church community at Our lady of the Lake Church and St Vincent De Paul Charitable Society in Lago Vista Tx. She served as a Eucharistic minister in her community and at Seton Northwest Hospital where she was a longtime volunteer.
Alice was an avid golfer and was proud of her one-time Hole in One! When not volunteering or helping a neighbor out Alice was happy playing golf with friends or quietly painting her beautiful watercolors.
Alice will be deeply missed by her children, Rosemary Coronella of Austin, TX, Linda Malboeuf of Rochester, NY, Jack Coronella of Medway, MA, Jim Coronella of Sandwich, MA, and Susan Lawson of San Diego, CA. Also, by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Alice was the beloved “Aunty Alice” to numerous nieces, nephews and their friends, holding a special place in their lives.
The family wishes to thank those who have extended emotional support to our family in her final days. A special thanks to Magnolia Hospice, especially Aly and Vanessa for their expert and loving care for mom. We are deeply grateful to all the wonderful staff at Buda Oaks assisted living for their quality loving care in our mom’s last months.
A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Lago Vista at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation to Alice’s favorite charity, the St Vincent DePaul Society.
